Thank you for your interest in the Greater Hornby Market 

The market is held on the second Saturday of the month  (February, March, April, May, June, July, August, September, October, November (being our Christmas market)) and the first Saturday in December.

Pricing & Stall Space

Inside spaces

  • 2m in length with room to sit/stand behind your table (along the wall edge) – $15 
  • 2m x 3m -2 sided frontage in a group of 4 with space for customers to walk around – $30.
  • No power is allowed inside.

Outside spaces

  • Outdoor site $20. These come in a variety of sizes, generally 2m x 3m covered, or 3x3m uncovered.
  • Food trucks/vans – $30
  • Power – $10 per connection (outdoor sites only)

Please let us know the size/shape you prefer when booking.

NB: All stall holders are requested to provide a non-perishable (food or personal) item each market for the local Salvation Army food bank.

General Information

As a stall holder you must provide your own: 

  • Tables
  • Racks 
  • Displays
  • Float/change – we are able to provide eftpos or cash out for customers

Chairs are provided and are located inside the toilets, please return after use.

You may arrive from 9:00am onwards and need to be set up ready for the public by 9.45am.  (if more time is needed, please contact us).

Outdoor sites may arrive from 8.00am onwards.

Please do not begin packing up before 2pm – the public are still browsing.

On arrival, please find one of the  helpers (we will be wearing a high viz vest) and we will show or tell you where you are located for the day.

Make sure your customers are aware of the cash out facility as this will help with sales. This will be available at a sign posted stall on the day.

Hall Rules

Please place floor protectors under your tables or racks, these will be provided in a box at the front door, please take as many as needed and please return after the market.

  • Alcohol is not permitted on school grounds.
  • No smoking, vaping, open fires, smoke or fog machines, naked candles or flames can be used on the school grounds
  • No unauthorised animals on site.
  • No high heels, stilettos, or marking soles are to be worn in the hall
  • Whether inside or out, all care should be taken to protect the environment you are using while on-site – any damage to property will be billed to the site where the damage is found. This includes oil stains on concrete.

We will provide a first aid kit which will be located in the hall’s kitchen. There is a further First Aid Kit in the GHRA BBQ.

Parking 

Please unload your car in the basketball court behind the pool, there should be someone there to help you park. Food vendors will enter via the Tower St entrance and follow the path to the court in the middle of the classrooms. You will then be directed where to park your car.

Please leave the Amyes Road paved car park for customers – we may be able to provide defined car-parking locations but will let you know closer to time.

Booking policy – Confirmation & Payment

Invoices will be issued for all sites 2 weeks prior to the market and must be paid within 7 days, unless other arrangements have been made prior with the organising committee.

Refunds will only be made if the event is cancelled by the organising committee. Your fees cannot not be used towards any future bookings. If you can no longer attend, please let us know as soon as possible so we can re allocate your site.

Social Media

We aim to provide free exposure via our facebook page once payment has been received, for you and your product/craft/business leading up to the market date. Please provide photos and details if you would like us to schedule a post for you. If no post is required, please let us know. NOTE – We may not get around to scheduling everyone a post but be we will do our best.

Changes & updates

Any changes regarding stallholders and or market days will be put on Facebook and emailed to your registered email address. If you have any queries, complaints or enquiries please email us on stalls@greaterhornby.market
